Testing Testing :)

I’ve found a wee feature on my laptop that lets me do Blog posts, i think it should be an easier way of writing them, but thought i would  just test it out.

Please bear with me while i have a little playtime :)

Ok i know this is going to sound really silly but do you know how long i’ve wanted to have my pics set up differently and ive coveted rounded corners on other people’s blogs for ages!!! Hmmmm not sure about the little white bits in the corners though :P

Hahahaha I’m soooo easily pleased!!!

Just goes to show…always read the manual ;)

Off to buy Mr D some Fillet Steak for tea tonight, yum!

Scent of a Woman..

It's happened, i've had to take a new bottle off the (small) pile and open it.
My Fav everyday perfume seems to have gone awol in the shops over here, i can't find it in the normal stores anymore.
I was distraught, until i spied a basket of it in a local discount store :O how could they!
Just to prove that my Mr D is
The Best,
He disappeared and came back with his pockets full.
That put a smile on my face as it meant at the time i had 7 bottles of the lovely stuff :)
That was a year ago and sadly the pile is depleating.
I'm blamimg this culprit...

It is the new fragrance from Sarah.
Which seems to have knocked mine off the shelf.
But i don't like it, which if they had bothered to ask me i would have told them!!

I do however still like this one, and have been lucky enough to own a bottle in the past, but you's expensive, and i'm still saving for my new wheels...

This is one i do like which seems to stay on the shelves even though Anna has lots of new ones scince, why can't Sarah do that!?

Oh the worry of it.

A field (or two) in Kent

Back to the real world..
We had 10 days sitting in a field in Kent for this..
The weather was great, only two little rain showers, we could have done with a splash more to keep the dust down from the tanks rolling by on a night, walking around was like being in a desert!
There is so much to see here, acres of privately owned Military Vehicles, dancing, singing, general messing about!
I have a fair few photos to share once ive sorted through them, but these give you a taster.
I made a rather significant dent in my to-be-read-pile, managed 6 books!
The sewing however not so good, but i did cut out a pile of shapes ready to sew.
Small steps.
It's back to work for me today, better go see what they've been up to without me!
Really need a day off to catch up on my blog reading:)

Fun in The Sun

Day's like these (ie HOT!) are when we appreciate Bertie.
We decided to go to Bury St Edmunds as it's been a while..
After a small unscheduled deeeeeeeeetor.. all part of the adventure I'm told...
we did find our way without going on the duel carriage way too much.
Country lanes are far more interesting in Bertie.
Bury has changed since we last went, much more shopping opportunities now..but the Abbey
Gardens were still the same.
Come through the Abbey Gate and see
Lunch was provided by Mr Spenser (AKA Marks & Sparks)
We found a shady spot & ate.
& people watched
The gardens are very pretty & colourful, & Busy! Lots of families there for picnics, & workers having lunch
We visited the cheap magazine stall at the market so we had some reading
& generally just sat.

The Holiday shirt has had quite an airing this summer already!

We enjoyed ourselves, especially when we saw they had strung the bunting up for our arrival ;)

On the way home we stopped off to visit friends who were camping by the river (the top pic of Bertie was taken there), then our friends came over for the evening, with their Springer puppy, who we introduced to the sea (unfortunately i didn't take my camera for that, but she wouldn't go in!)
Hope your weekend was just as relaxing!

Weekend Plans!

As i will be working extra hard next week, i have taken a couple of days off. (Well there has to be some perks to being the boss, right?
Mr D & I are taking Bertie out for a wee spin tomorrow, while the sun is shining, might even get some ice cream like we did here..checking out the competition is all part of the job description..

I like spending days out with Mr D, we'll be like these two..
Maybe we can buy some munchies and sit in a park.
oooo i can't wait.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, it's unusually hot here at the moment, but we aren't complaining!!

How to....

So i thought i'd let you in on the secret, these are the best sites i've discovered..
I think they may only be for the uk but i'm sure if you google 'surveys for points' or 'surveys for vouchers' you may find some sites outside the uk :)
This site is not a survey site, but you join up, and there are several ways of earning points here, 1.Click through to the sites that give you 10 points per click (you dont have to buy anything, you simply earn points for clicking through to them) these change every week so go on the site regular to check!
2. If you are buying anything, go to the shopping section and buy through this site. You earn a certain number of points per pound. A little tip is that i often buy through this site even in stores that are in my town, for example, WHS give you 21 points per pound spent, and you can get your things delivered to your local store free, so i always do this! Other stores will do this free.
You just need to remember if you are shopping to click on the site through the pigsback site and your points are added in a couple of weeks.
3. The other way is to register with sites through pigsback, i dont do this very often as it means you get loads of junk from the companys, but it's a good way of earning a lot of points in one go.
So there you have it, Once your piggy bank has lots of points in it you can trade them in for vouchers from lot of different stores!
These two sites are survey sites:
With these you sign up and they send you surveys. Sometimes you can go for a few weeks with none, but then other times you can get several in one day.
A tip is that the surveys don't stay valid forever, once they have enough participents they go offline so if you have a few minutes to spare it's worth doing them. The surveys are mostly about shopping habbits, i've reviewed TV commercials, i've even taken part in testing products, a washing powder and some Walls sausages!!!
With these you earn the points for the surveys and save them up for your vouchers, i always get Amazon evouchers from these, then i add them to my Amazon account to accumulate, it's great to have a credit on amazon as then you can buy those bday pressies!
So there you go, hope i've made you happy :)
Happy Clicking!!
ps, if anyone else knows of any good sites like this do share!!

Shopping without Spending..

What with my quest for a Land Rover Defender, i have mastered the art of
Shopping without Spending
I get vouchers sent to me through the post from some sites i do surveys on, these are a great way to get little treats, do the surveys, build up your points, and trade them in for vouchers!
A lot of the time i get Amazon evouchers which i add to my account and buy presents for Birthdays and Christmas, but i had a little 10.00 voucher for DP's the other day so i got these :) Some cool trainer socks and some pretty hair slides i got 2 packs of each for my 10.00. Bargain!
My other free haul came from my Niece :)
Being 18 & having no other worries apart from what am i going to wear today?!
(oh remember THOSE days!)
She is always clearing out her wardrobe, so luckily i get the pick!!
Then there was the bag of books i came home with....
Oh i could get the hang of this Shopping Without Spending!
Any other tips to save?
Hope your weekend is Fab.
Me? Oh how nice of you to ask...
Oh i'm getting up at sillyoclock to go clean out my ridiculously over stressed ice cream scoop cabinate (where has all this heat come from?) it needs defrosting every few days in this heat :(
Then i'm off car booting with my sis. To sell all our (junk) oh sorry i mean our quality items)
After that it's off back to work!
Mr D is away for the weekend chasing his plane :)
