Something from Tiffany’s Book review No. 12

something from tiffanys
Doesn’t every girl dream of getting… something from Tiffany’s?
On 5th Avenue in New York City, two very different men are shopping for gifts for the women they love.
Gary is buying his girlfriend Rachel a charm bracelet. Partly to thank her for paying for their holiday-of-a-lifetime to New York. But mainly because he’s left his shopping far too late.
Whereas Ethan’s looking for something a little more special – an engagement ring for the first woman to have made him happy since he lost the love of his life.
But when the two men’s shopping bags get confused, and Rachel somehow ends up with Ethan’s ring, the couples’ lives become intertwined.
As Ethan tries to reunite the ring with the woman it was actually intended for, he discovers this isn’t that easy. Does fate have other ideas for the couples? Or is there simply a bit of Tiffany’s magic in the air
This book has been sitting on (one of) my tbr piles since my sis gave it to me last Christmas. I took it away to a field on holiday with me and read it at long last.
I’ve read most of Melissa Hill’s novels and they are all nice entertaining easy read stories, this one was no exception.
I enjoyed the setting, after visiting Tiffany’s on fifth ave a few years ago I’m a sucker for any story set in or around the store and NY itself, what girl wouldn’t like to get a blue box in her Christmas stocking?
If I’m honest this was a wee bit far fetched, the mix up of the 20 thousand pound solitaire and the 150 pound charm bracelet being the main story line, how Gary thought that the ring had just fallen out of the sky into his lap I couldn’t really believe, and wanted to slap him….or Ethan to slap him… but that didn’t stop me enjoying the novel.
Not to mention the cute cover……
